Website development
Hyper Text Markup Language is the chosen code language used to for website development. It is actually a young language compared to others. About the birth of HTML and who invented it you can read more on HyperText Markup Language History. Browsers such as Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator read this type of coding and display websites such as what you are viewing now.
Develop website originality
Thousands of websites are created and placed on the Internet to gain notice. When you build a website, your attention should be focused on your own, not what others do. It should not matter who has the fancier graphics, or the flashiest banner. If you are not able to catch your visitor's attention with valuable content about your product or service right after they get to your website, it doesn't matter how nice your graphics are. Customers expect content and quality, not quantity. The value of content is judged on how well it can be presented.
When writing a web page, consider this; rather than selling a product to a person in front of you, they are thousands of miles away (or not). You cannot see them and they cannot see you, they cannot see your facial or body expressions which do make a difference when selling face to face. So, how do you present your product? With extra attention to detail, more attention to the customer who is asking questions, more information in general that you would want to know if you were in their position.
The importance lies in web page content and targeting unique traffic to gain visitors and hopefully sales. Rather than consider another business owner like yourself to be competitive, value their opinions and feedback. It can actually benefit the growth of your business and very well help you gain customers. In some cases you may be able to pass customers if you find yourself being overloaded with work. Here's a great article written by Shirley Kaiser called, "Your Web Site's First Impression Happens Only Once". She does a fine job on explaining the importance of making your web pages stand at a reader's attention.
Website updates
A website is only as good as its content but it can get better with updates. Making additional improvements to it such as adding articles, links, monthly newsletters or even a blog can bring interested visitors back again. If your website is liked by others, word spreads about it. When traffic builds, your website rank increases on the search engines.
